Start off your day with a delicious breakfast buffet at the hotel. Delhi has been the capital of India since the 13th century and today you will begin your tour by visiting – The national monument – India gate, Dilli Haat, Lotus Temple, and Raj Ghat which is the memorial of the Mahatma Gandhi. A narrator has been appointed to your tour who will include you in what’s happening by describing various details of your surroundings. Return to your hotel for a restful night.
Wake up to the sounds of India as the local crowd gets on with their daily routine. A selection of Indian and continental dishes will be waiting for you at the breakfast buffet before you carry on with your tour. After a fulfilling breakfast meal, you will leave Delhi and travel towards Agra. For a short break, you will stop at Sikandra where the Tomb of Akbar is located. The tomb reflects a blend of various religions like Buddhism, Christianity, Islam, Jain and Hinduism. When you arrive at Agra, our representative will assist you through the hotel check-in process for an overnight stay.
An exciting day of your tour, where you get to witness the glorious Taj Mahal – one of the seven wonders of the world. This marble architectural art was built by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan to honor his wife Mumtaz Mahal. As you tour around its actual premises, you will be provided with a miniature model of the monument for cross referencing the details of this stone wonder. Continue your tour with the Agra Fort that sits on the opposite side of the Taj on the banks of Yamuna River. The Fort is sub-divided into Pearl Mosque, Diwan-e-am, and Diwan-e-khas, which were used to host events for the royal audience. If time allows, use the evening to shop and take home some souvenirs of the Taj and other hand carved marble items.
Beginning with an early breakfast, today you will be travelling to the desert state of India. On the way to Jaipur, you will be visiting the ruins of Fatehpur Sikri. This historical structure was was built by Emperor Akbar in the beginning of 1570. It is a popular off-road destination because of its abandoned architecture that soberly sits in the city, echoing its powerful historical past. On your arrival at Jaipur, check-in to your hotel and have a restful night’s sleep.
